How to totally delete Adobe Flash Player to eliminate all risks

As you probably know, Adobe Flash Player ceased to exist on 31st December 2020. This plug-in, which enabled users to view a webpage for interactive media (animations, videos, games, etc.), had already been superseded some time ago. As a result, Adobe has stopped supporting it. And now, from 12th January, any Flash content will also be actively blocked.

The fact that this plug-in is no longer supported also means that there will no longer be any updates. So, for your own security, you should delete the program permanently from your computer. This can be done in a few simple steps. Here’s how you do it.

Deleting Flash Player in Windows 10

  1. Close all browsers and programs using Flash Player. If you don’t do this, you will be unable to continue the process from step 2 onwards.
  2. Download and install the Flash Player Uninstall program and save the file to a location where you can easily find it (such as your desktop).
  3. Run the program and follow the steps.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Open this page from the Adobe website in your browser and go to step 5. If you cannot see any moving animation, this means that the program has been uninstalled successfully.
